This Masterclass is designed for supervisors who would like to extend their skills and knowledge in supervising for competence in ethical, cultural and social diversity. This Masterclass will address cultural and social diversity through a rural and remote lens, drawing on ethical frameworks to advance supervisors skills in this area. Supervision models and tools are discussed within a best-practice framework, with a focus on giving and receiving feedback. The content is covered within the relational context of the practice of supervision.

After completing this Masterclass you will be able to:

  • Utilise ethical models and frameworks to supervise for social and cultural competence
  • Develop competency-based learning goals and evaluate supervisee competencies within the rural and remote context
  • Apply an understanding of best practice supervision models and tools to current practice
  • Apply skills in pre-planning for giving and receiving feedback in supervision
